From www.cinescape.com:
THE SHIELD creator Shawn Ryan has accepted a new contract that will see him working on his hit FX show for at least two more seasons. Ryan's deal with the network and Fox means that he'll earn more than $200,000 per episode of THE SHIELD, and that he'll serve as the showrunner for an additional 26 episodes. (Each season of THE SHIELD lasts 13 episodes, a shorter run than a regular network series.)
The deal also ensures that Ryan will develop additional projects after the first year of his new deal ends.
THE SHIELD's third season will debut on FX early next year.
