I had been looking into picking up the Essential X-Men which reprints all of the old X-Men issues starting with the birth of the modern X-Men team. I was quite excited about this idea, but as I did more research I found out marvels entire line of Essential comics are reprinted in black and white, not the original color. Which pretty much killed my desire to get them.

While I have no problem with black and white comics, if that is how they were originally ment to be, but to reprint something ment to be in color in black and white is just stupid in my opinion.

So much for that idea. There is marvels Masterwork series, which are hardcover, but they cost $50 each and only cover like 10 issues, but are in color. However $50 is way more than I am willing to spend.

There are some trade paperbacks of some story lines I am going to try picking up. Let's see there is the Mutant Masacare, Fall of the Mutants, Inferno and the X-Tinction Agenda (I think that was the big Genosha story line). Granted most of them are out of print so I will have to hunt them down. All of this only matters if/when I have the money of course.

Ok. I think I've rambled on this subject more than enough.
