So I've started working on this game idea yesterday. It's kind of a strange combination of Star Trek: TOS, Star Wars and Buffy. Once the timeline is complete it will go up to 2104. I plan to work up stats on the various aliens, space ships, weapons and things of that nature. I don't even pretend to think this follows any kind of realisitic timeline, but I like it. I might even try submitting for Eden Studios Presents when I'm done. The inspiration for this is from an online friend whom I game with mentioned he was working on a Firefly-esque/Buffy setting. That got me thinking and I got struck by a Space Opera Buffy. Then I sat down and thought I'd write a story and before I knew it instead I was thinking of it as game setting before I even knew it. So without any further ramblings the first 51 years of my timeline. Just covers major events for this setting.

2004 - L.A. is the source of a major Demon attack on Earth. The US Military responds with force. Due to the fighting the city if virtually destroyed. the fighting between human and demonic forces is broadcast to the world via the cameras of CNN. The US Military is able to defeat the demonic insurgents. Despite the world seeing the demonic fighters society does not collapse. Chaos does not reign. Other than riots in a handful of cities, life goes on pretty much as normal. The riots only lasted for a few days to a week before things settled down. The supernatural quickly became common knowledge and was fairly well accepted.

Demons are not hunted down and slaughtered, nor are they fully accepted into society. Those that are willing to work within societies laws are treated as second class citizens, they can't own property, but they can hold down menial jobs and things of this nature. Demons that do not follow the laws of society are hunted down and killed. Some hate groups start harrassing the demons that are following the laws. Governments and companies around the world start research into the supernatural.

2010 - The Demonic Protection Act is passed in the United States. Many other governments around the world follow with similar laws. What these laws mean in general is that "good" demons, those that follow the laws of the country they live in, are given the full rights of a citizen of that country. Hate groups continue to harass "good" demons. Agencies are formed to deal with the "evil" demon problem.

2012 - The United States, Britian, China and Russia build the first bubble city on the moon. Both civillain and military populate the city. It is used for lots of research. Despite the abundance of military in this city there are no weapons allowed. It holds about 200,000 people. It is named Moon City One.

2014 - Each of the four governments build their own cities on. They are connected via tubes that travel for miles. Each of these smaller cities hold about 50,000 people and are considered part of their respective government. A spaceport is built for a planned mission to Mars in 2018.

2015 - Research in Moon City One starts on the Dimensional Drive. It is a drive system for interplanetary travel. It uses a mix of technology and magic to open portals to other dimensions to cut travel time in space. It is estimated to take 5-10 years before a viable ship and engine are actually built. Many people on Earth consider it little more than a pipe dream.

2018 - Mars One lands on Mars and Martian City One is started being built. It is again a combined US, British, Chinese and Russian project. By the time it is completed in early 2019 there are 250,000 military and civillian people living here. Research into terraforming the moon is also started.

2020 - The first Dimensional Drive propelled ship is finished on schedule. By mid-2020 the first successful trip from the Moon to Mars is completed in two hours time.

2021 - The five moon cities are evacuated back to Earth to begin the first major scale terraforming of the moon. At this point only small lab tests had been conducted. Within six months the moon is covered in lush forests, jungles, plains, lakes and other such geological formations. By the end of 2021 animal life is introduced to the moon.

2022 - The first new moon city is built. It is again built by the same four governments, with the addition of India. By 2023 it is the place for the rich and famous to live. The population of this massive and advanced city tops one million and is expected to double in a year. Serious mining of the Asteroid Belt is begun.

2025 - Six more cities are built on the recently terra formed moon. Each of the five governments build their own cities and German gets one built also. France, Spain and Japan start their own cities, but do not expect them to be finished for another year or two.

2026 - Eight demon clans, consisting of about 500,000 "good" demons, get together and start building their own city on the moon.

2028 - Demon City One has increased it's population by 2,000,000. Mars City One is evacuated to the Moon Cities as the terraforming project is started on Mars. Due to the size the project is expected to take two years.

2029 - Deep Space Satalite reports what appears to be an incoming vessel just inside the Asteroid Belt. Two Dimensional Drive ships, the George Washington and the Queen Elizabeth, are sent to investigate. What they find is some kind of alien probe. It is brought back to Moon Research Station 4. The probe turns out to be from an Alien Alliance know as the Bogra Federation. It contains information about the 30 different alien species that are members of the Bogra Federation. This information starts the proccess of a world government being formed. By the end of 2029 Juliana Margos, a british citizen, is elected President of the World Government. All nations retain their indipendance and have a vote in the world government. A congress and senate are also elected. Plans are formed to to send 10 representitives to meet this Broga Federation. They are from the United States, Canada, Britain, France, China, Japan, Russia, India, Spain and Germany. The Earth Alliance ship is launched on December 25, 2029 and even with its dimensional drive is expected to arrive in the Tolgath System and Bogra Federation Headquarters.

2030 - By March 4, 2030 the Earth Alliance ship arrives at the location in the Tolgath System. Other than a message they arrived nothing is heard. In June it is found out the terraforming of Mars did not go as well as planned. There is an atmosphere, but no plant life has grown and there is no signs of it. Something somewhere on Mars is generating an atmosphere, but noone is able to figure out what. By August 3, 2030 there are over two dozen cities on the moom and Albert Johnson, a member of the Brachen Demon Clan is elected President of the Moon Government. This is a huge contraversy back on Earth. By now there are three Demon cities on the moon containing almost 10,000,000 citizens in total.

2031 - A transmition is received from Earth Alliance 1. The message said that they were negotiating with the Bogra Federation for information on various worlds and systems, but the Bogra wanted details on the Dimensional Drive. A message is sent back giving permission to this deal.

2035 - Earth and the Moon officially join the Bogra Federation. About a dozen ships are launched to start exploring the galaxy. They consists of crews (both human and demon) from Earth and the Moon and a mixture of aliens from the Bogra Federation.

2038 - Scientists declare Mars safe for humans, despite not understanding what is creating the Martian Atmosphere. By the end of 2038 Martian City One is rebuilt.

2040 - Galaxy Five, one of the exploration ships, is destroyed by a mysterious attacker. Before it is destroyed a brief message is transmitted with an image of the ship. It is nothing that has been seen by the Bogra Federation.

2042 - There are now 10 cities on Mars and a new Martian government is formed. Demons start to move from the Moon to Mars on a massive scale. By now there are 2 dozen scientific and exploration ships from the Sol/Bogra Federation.

2043 - Another two Sol/Bogra ships are destroyed by mysterious attackers. The reports from the ships indeed show they are the same group. The ships use some kind of energy based weapons. Research into shields to protect from these attacks and energy based weapons are started. Earth, the Moon and Mars also start building Military space ships with conventional nuclear weapons. All exploration ships are recalled.

2044 - There are enough military ships built for the exploration ships to go back out. Each exploration ship is protected by two military ships. Bogra Scientists start working with Sol Scientists and Mystics on energy weapons and shields.

2045 - An alien attack is prevented because of the military ships, but only barely. One of the military ships and one exploration ship are destroyed. The alien ship is captured, but there are no life forms onboard and the computers have been wipped.

2050 - The first ship with shields and energy weapons is built. The technology for the shields comes from a combination of Magic, human and Bogra technology. The energy weapons were reverse engineered from the captured alien ship. This is also the first military/scientific ship and it is sent farther out than any ship before. It is named Togresh, after the member of the Bogra Federation who combined the technology.

2051 - The Togresh has a run in with three of these mysterious alien ships and manages to defeat them all. On Earth Canada and the United States merge into The United States of North America.

2055 - A dozen of the new Angel class ships are launched. The older exploration and military ships are called back for retrofiting.
