Maybe it is just me, but I think the SciFi Channel has losts its mind.  Not to suggest the channel is sentient or anything, but I am moving away from my point.  Today SciFi was showing "So I Married an Axe Murder" and "Serial Mom", neither of which have any SciFi or fantasy elements.  To me this just seems crazy.

I watched most of Taken (missed a part on the second Wed, so I stopped watching and taping) and I hope SciFi releases it on DVD.  However I'm not here today to talk about Taken.  I'm here to talk about SciFi and advertising for the upcoming final season of Farscape.  The fact in all the commercials they showed for it (and they showed a ton) they did not mention that it was the final season or anything of that nature.  In the ads they were treating it as if it were just another season.

So it's official Fox has canceled Firefly.  Gee imagine that Fox not giving a show a chance.  In alot of ways this reminds me of the treatment Harsh Realm received.  Joss Wheadon has said he plans to shop the show around to other networks.  Some are suggesting SciFi as the new home.  Except SciFi has stated they wish to get away from space based SciFi shows.  I wouldn't trust ABC, NBC or CBS with a SciFi show.  So that leaves us UPN or WB.  I think either of them could be fine, but I would have to turn ever so slightly in favor of UPN.

Ugh.  So many SciFi shows I like have been canceled.  I know SciFi shows have a hard time surviving, but it just seems the ones I like get canceled.  I know a large amount of shows never make it past a first season and many not even past a few episodes.  Let's see Dark Angel made two seasons and was killed.  Firefly so far didn't make 1 season.  Brimestone, 1 season.  Futurama, 4-5 seasons depending on how you look at it.  And suddenly I can not think of the other shows I have enjoyed that have been canceled.  Granted part of the problem is the fact they still use the Neilson rating system which has little to do with the general viewing habits and how many people are watching the show.  They either need to do away with the system or get a more diverse group of people to be neilsons families.  Well they could also just listen to me, but I don't think that will ever happen. ;)

Well this has not exactly gone how I planed and has become much longer than I had thought.  I was originally planning to ramble about the SciFi Channel and it's strange behavior.  Oh well.  Guess thats all.

Also I do plan to try and update this a bit more.  So far not too bad, in the past 4 days I have posted 3 things.  Hopefully I can at least post something every other day.  Even if I just say, Yes I am alive.
