Last night was a very long night at work. Friday night I went to bed around midnight and slept until about 6am. Unlike most Saturday's I didn't get my usual nap during the day due to going to the movies with John, Soo and ThinFriend. So last night I would find myself drifting off for like 5 minutes or so, everyonnce in a while. Tonight is looking to be equally rough. Only got 4 hours of sleep today.
I'm already missing being around friends and being in Albany. It was really nice last week. Very comforting. I also really got used to the TiVo. Which I must say is both a wonderful device and truely evil. It's wonderful because it makes recording tv shows easy and rewatching them. However it's evil due to the fact that it's very addicting. I kept wanting to pause the programs I was watching so I could run out and get something and things of that nature. If I wasn't such a poor individual I would get one. I was bidding on a series one this past week, but had to retract the bid due to some bills that I had to pay. Could of had it for about 100 bucks + 25 shipping. Oh well, maybe when I win the lottery. Oh wait a minute that would require me to play. Damn.
Well I've finally got a new cube at work. Since my old computer died I kind of bounced around between a few desks and computers. Aparently one of the day people left, so I swept in and took on the cube. It's one of the newer machines in the office. It's a Dell Dimension 2400. It's got a P4 2.20GHz with 256MB of memory. All in all a much better machine than I was running before. So I'm now setting up all my programs and bookmarks and such again. Wish the company had splurged on DVD drives in the machines, but beggars can't be choosey (or however that's spelled).
Since the former occupant of the cube is no longer here I was looking through the desk drawers. For some reason she has quite literally 75-100 brown, paper lunch bags. No idea whats up with that. Gonna have to go through and clean it out one of these days.
