Ugh. Somedays the people I deal with drive me nuts. Incase anyone reading this doesn't know, I do Tech Support at an ISP.

Customer: "Through netscape I can't get to site X and site Y, but I can through the big E, internet explorer."
Me: "Sounds like there is a problem with netscape on your computer then and you will probably need to reinstall the program."
Customer: "Can't you just email netscape and tell them I can't get to those places?"
Me: "The problem isn't with netscape in general, but something on your machine. You can access the sites through internet explorer, correct?"
Customer: "Yes, but not through netscape and if I try to go to them I can't go home after either."
Me: "Can you get to other sites in netscape?"
Customer: "I don't know."
Me: "Try to then."
Customer: "Yes I can get to other sites."
Me: "Well it sounds like something in netscape is messed up. One thing I would recomend trying is to clear the cache." I proceed to explain how to do this. "If that does not work you are going to need to download a new copy of netscape and reinstall it."
Customer: "Can't you just email netscape and tell them to fix the problem?"


AAAAAARRRRGHHHH!!!! We went around like that for nearly twenty minutes. I think when we got off the phone she understood the problem was unique to her and not a problem with netscape in general. Although I don't know for sure.
