Well it is official that there will be a spinoff in the 2004 season on SciFi. The 7th season of SG-1 will lead to a theatrical movie that will bridge the two series. It is likely season 7 will be the final season of Stargate: SG-1. Atlantis is not likely to have any of the SG-1 characters as main characters, but they might make guest apperances. Although who knows what will happen. :)
