Somedays these customers really drive me nuts. Just now I had a DSL customer call because he was not able to get on the internet. With DSL out first step is to have them reboot the modem. I'll try to give a general idea of our conversation:

Me: "Well the first step is to tell me what lights on the front of the modem are on or off. Then to restart the modem."
Customer: "I can't do that man. The modem is up stairs at my neighbors and he's in vegas for a week."
Me: "Ok. Lets see if we can get to the modem." I give him the IP address of the modem.
Customer: "Wont' connect to that either man."
Me: "Ok. Let's restart the computer."
He does that.
Customer: "Still can't get to the modem."
Me: "At this point the next step is to reset any networking equipment and the modem."
Customer: "Dude. That's all up stairs."
Me: "Unfortunatly, sir, that is the only course of action we have at this point. You can not even access the modem. You can check your cables to make sure they are connected tight, but I doubt that's the problem."
Customer: "One time a tech had me go into Internet Options, go to Advanced and we did something there that fixed this problem."
Me: "Well who ever did that didn't make any notes here and I'm not sure of anything there that would fix this type of problem."
Customer: "I'll call back when someone else is there."
He hung up.

It's odd, but Stargate: SG-1 is one of the few shows where I have enjoyed what have basically boiled down into clip shows. Partially because the clip shows usually involve the political side of things. Which is always interesting to see. This past weeks episode was interesting for that very reason. However next week the story gets back on track in time for the 2 part season finale. Then in July Stargate: Atlantis starts up along with Season 8 of SG-1. From what little I know of Atlantis it sounds like it will be an interesting show.
